We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Accounts Payable Specialist to join our corporate office in Tacoma, WA. In this role, you will support key financial processes while working closely with a close-knit and supportive accounting team that values accuracy, communication, and teamwork.
The ideal candidate is organized, highly communicative, and brings strong attention to detail.
This is a full-time position with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Following a training period of approximately 6–9 months, a hybrid schedule with up to two remote workdays per week will be available.

In addition, you may work on a variety of other accounting processes, such as credit card reconciliations, completing credit applications, month-end close, and supporting the Accounting team. Salary Info: The salary range for this position is: $26.52 - $35.85 per hour.
Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

- ACCURACY (AP): You are detail-oriented, your invoice processing and payments to suppliers are completed with 95% accuracy in a timely manner to maximize early payment discounts.
- ATTENDANCE: You are reliable, on-time, and consistently adhere to the attendance policy. You can be depended upon to be punctual, and your work is completed in a timely manner.
- INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: You demonstrate professionalism while building and maintaining strong relationships. You provide service with a personal touch and a friendly Burkhart demeanor. You are approachable, collaborative and actively solicit feedback.
- PRODUCTIVITY: You work efficiently to meet deadlines, performance and productivity standards and independently manage your workload.
- INITIATIVE: You take initiative by identifying issues and solutions. You ultimately solve problems, with or without additional support.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Up to 3 years of Accounts Payable experience with demonstrated proficiency in general Accounting knowledge.
- An Associate’s Degree with a focus in Accounting/Finance can substitute for up to 2 years of experience.
- Must be bondable.
- Associate degree in accounting or finance.
- Accounts Payable certification.
- Experience supporting multiple business locations.
